Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 March 2026

Ledge is a personal finance application currently in development. The Service is operated by an individual who may be trading as a sole trader, or through a registered business entity, depending on the stage of business formation at the time you engage with the Service ("we", "us", "our", "the Operator"). Reference to "Ledge", "we", or "the Operator" in this Policy means that individual and any entity through which the Service is operated, as applicable.

This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you join our waitlist.

1. What we collect

When you join the Ledge waitlist, we collect:

2. Why we collect it

We collect your email solely to:

We collect analytics data to understand how people use our website so we can improve it. We collect bot-detection signals to protect the integrity of our waitlist.

We will never use your email for anything outside these purposes.

3. Who we share it with

We use the following third-party service providers to operate this website. Each processes data on our behalf and is subject to appropriate data protection obligations:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes — ever.

4. Analytics and tracking

We use PostHog to collect anonymised analytics data about how visitors interact with our website. This may include session recordings (think of these like a playback of mouse movements and scrolling — not a camera, and nothing you type is ever captured), heatmaps, page views, and click events. All input fields (including your email address) are masked in session recordings and are never sent to PostHog.

PostHog is configured to anonymise IP addresses. We do not use this data to identify individual users — it is used solely to understand how our site performs and where we can improve the experience.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising tracking technology on this website.

5. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us (see Section 7) and we will action your request within 30 days at no cost to you.

6. Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time. In accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), we will process unsubscribe requests within 5 business days. Once unsubscribed, your email will be removed from all active mailing lists. You may request full deletion under Section 5.

7. Contact and complaints

For any privacy questions, access requests, or complaints:

Email: founder@getledge.com.au

If you are not satisfied with our handling of a privacy concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

8. Data retention

We retain your email address until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the Ledge waitlist period concludes — whichever comes first. If the Ledge project is permanently discontinued, all waitlist email addresses will be deleted within 90 days of that decision. Anonymised analytics data collected via PostHog may be retained for longer as it cannot be linked back to you individually.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Your email is stored with an established third-party platform and is not stored on personal devices or in unsecured systems.

Given the limited nature of the information collected — primarily your email address, along with anonymised analytics data — the privacy risk associated with joining the waitlist is low.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.

This policy applies to waitlist sign-ups only. A full Privacy Policy covering Open Banking (CDR) data, financial information, and all app functionality will be published before Ledge's public launch.
